Oh Don Piano!

I think, the last kitty, maybe somekind of kitty Oracle.

“Kick his ass Mr Whiskerson!”

Of course this before all Kitty Boxing matches were rigged.

“I’m a Cat, a Kitty Kat!”

Ok, this one sucked, but I needed atlease one more to fill out the set. Also, after the video stops….the song keeps playing in my head! Curses.

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

This is great, I can actually see my Brother and I trying this:

PS…I bet the camera failed right when the guy was yelling “Don’t tell your mother!”

Giant Elephants, Girls, and the timeliness of Wired

I bash Wired sometimes, allegations of missing the moment and being 9 months in the past have crossed my lips. Let’s be honest, I don’t really mean that, I am just jealous because I would like to do what they do.

Today I received my copy of Wired, and read about a French group doing shows in Europe. They feature a Big Ass 40 some odd ton elephant and lots of neat stuff. Slick.

Look what the interweb showed me today!:

Yup, same group, same stuff.

Good job Wired.

Crazy…the song that could

So this Gnarles Barkley Crazy song get’s some airplay, and yeah it is ok.

But this makes it timeless

Notice the complete look of normalcy on Cee-Lo’s face.

“Oh this Darth Vader Mask? Yeah, I wear this sometime…ok let’s sing!”

I found this video onDevin the Duke’s Myspace

Another interesting find is Ray Lamontge’s cover.
>

Which I borrowed for Joe, the Dutchman’s site.

But of course, there is some talent in gnarls Barkley, check out their wikipedia entry.

Learn about them, love them. Buy their CD, sure. Buy their other stuff too.

Hell, buy my stuff

Love

IMG_2466.JPG

This may be a little mushy, lack any type of Apple reference or video, and very well be jibberish. I apologize for that.

I am learning a lot about Love lately, I have been reading about Love and thinking, praying, and just dwelling in Love.

I like to think I am the kind of person who loves people, right off, before I even know them. I may disagree with them, may not even really click with them, but I Love people. I think this may be what God gave me to serve (which replaces my original theory that I had a force field and was meant to fight crime, but was that a steep steep learning curve).

Despite this general feeling of love and sissiness I live with everyday, I have found a new depth of Love. I have blessed in this great study of Love for over a year and a half with Kate, whom I am going to marry in November.

The thought of spending the rest of my life with her is the most beautiful thing I can conceive (and I have a huge imagination), I am begining to understand where my Dad got his strength in the years my Mom was so sick, I get awhole new level of Christ’s Love for Humanity. Tonight it was like a veil has been lifted and the world just clicked into new focus, it is a truely bad ass new world. I have my best-friend and she will be my wife in November.

If I had it my way we would be married tomorrow. Hell if I had it my way, we would have been married awhile ago.

Life is sweet my friends. Go hug somebody, beyoches.

Pepto Bismal Ice Cream

Perhaps this guy and I should get together, my Dayquilla shooters could be packaged with his Pepto-Pops (just quessing at names here people).

Instructions and the general history of PeptoBismal Icecream here

I am a long-time user of Pepto-Bismol. I like the fact that it is extremely pink, and find it very useful for coping with alcohol-induced bouts of digestive trauma.

But can you cook with Pepto-Bismol? I am thinking of making some Pepto-Bismol ice-cream, and want to know if there are any dangers involved.

Thanks in advance,

Fraser

Captain we need more Power

I am working on a slide show I for my (soon to be) brother and sister-inlaws reception. Actually, that isn’t true…I am sitting here while my poor overworked Mac takes a minute a slide to effect the changes I asked of it.

No sweat, I will just come back in two hours…should be done by then. Of course then I will need to tweak more stuff. So, at this rate I project being done by about next Easter.

Crap, now it is going through and reworking the transitions. This is going to take forever. I am hurting for a machine that can do a little more heavy lifting in the processor department.

Sidenote:
I remember the first time I made a slide show digital movie, it meant digitizing each frame of the film and then paaaainfully manipulating them. Comparitively this thing on my desk is a wonder, but it only leaves me wanting more juice. Literally, I would love some juice right. Grape would be nice.

Anyways, back to commenting on the surprising power of computers these days. I use a late model Imac G5, it is about two years old and cruises pretty well (expect when I tell it to go and adjust a few hundred photos in one shot). I have Final Cut Pro, but since I haven’t really taken the time to learn it and am pretty thick I can work faster in iMovie. Which really gets the job done for quick and dirty projects like this.

Remind me to take a class in Final Cut sometime please.

Update:

iMovie crashed on me. A solid year of using OSX and this trusty little guy and it tanked. Sure, ok, the file I was working with was like 10 gigs (I have no idea how that happened) and I was having it do a lot of steps at once…but still. Weak.
