Ruby Requirements Restrict (my access)

Back in the day (Last Monday) I wrote about pursuing a Ruby Certificate at the UW extension campus.

They got right back to me about the suggested prerequisites for the program.


Below are the admission requirements for the Ruby Programming certificate program.

  • Familiarity with Object-oriented concepts
  • At least one course in another programming language
  • Completion of at least 2 years of College education
  • One year of programming experience preferred

Individuals who have successfully completed the UW certificate in C Programming, C++ Programming, Perl Programming or Visual Basic Programming are automatically accepted. See below for details of the application process.

Apparently my degree specializing in TPS report development and tracking doesn’t get me too far in this arena. Sounds like I need to hit the books and knock out some object oriented study.
