Project Snork Revealed or The Nefarious Thai Noodle
Feb 4
We live in a glorious Mecca of restaurants and Dining. Surrounding the stately Hoffman estate in all directions are restuarants, dinners, and Bars. You can’t swing a cat without hitting somewhere good to eat. Because of that, we haven’t so much as opened our oven since we moved in May.
Enter Project Snork (nothing to do with the real Snorks, but we really miss that show and wanted to do something to show our support).
The Plan
Our plan is to make 24 new recipes and then eat the resulting food, thereby saving money and advancing one step closer to being shut in’s.
Today we are going to get started with last Friday’s Thai Noodles (Peanut Style).
The Details
You will need to acquire the following foodstuffs:
- 4 Ounces Uncooked Spaghetti
- 1.5 Teaspoon Soy
- 2 Garlic Gloves
- .25 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1 Green Onion
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped Peanuts
- 2 Teaspoons Honey
- 3 Tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter
- .25 Cup of Chicken Broth
Cook the Spaght (On an Olive Garden commercial I heard some guy’s real italian grandmother say this, I now use this shortened version to express my understanding of the real italian culture. Mama Mia!)
Meanwhile, toss the broth, PB, honey, soy sauce, garlic and ginger together in another sauce pan. Cook that puppy over medium heat until it warm all the way through.
Drain the Spaght, toss the noodles with the PB mixture. Garnish with liberal smattering of Peanuts and perhaps some green onions finely and loving diced.
There you go.
Feel free to drop some chicken breast or something in there to beef (or fowl?) it up if desired.
We got this from the very good Taste of Home’s Cooking for One or Two. Where it was suggested by a Mrs Kelsie Wilson of Dallas, Texas. Mrs Wilson, of course, can claim here 8×10 glossy of me anytime she would like in the comments.
